The Children’s Ministry Leadership Certificate (CMLC) is a 6-credit program designed to equip men and women to confidently lead a Children’s Ministry program in the local church. This program focuses uniquely on how ministry directed toward children in the local church can be theologically formed, safe, and practically carried out. This is an excellent course for Children’s Pastors, Children’s Ministry Directors, or those passionate about working with kids at the local church level.

This course is designed to assist new and current leaders in an Alliance church setting become grounded in local church leadership. Students will learn about biblical and pastoral leadership, Alliance church governance, and the theological foundations of the local church. They will also be introduced to the key beliefs and position of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and learn how the local church relates to the broader denominational family. Perfect for newly elected elders, governing board members and leaders in training.

This course trains those who plan to work with children ages 18 and under to engage with minors safely. This training includes certification through Plan to Protect (0-18 and Vulnerable Populations Orientation) which may help satisfy local insurance requirements for your local church.
